Alvarez and Shaw is a self performing Heavy Civil Construction Company. We specialize in site civil work, concrete flatwork, curb and gutter, sidewalks, roads, bridges, slabs, walls, foundations. and some minor asphalt work. We are a certified participant of the SBA’s 8(a) program, a DOT Certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) , An NMSDC AND CUCP certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), a Small Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) Certified by the City of San Diego, a Small Business for Public Works and Small Business-Micro Enterprise certified by California DGS.

Our team is assembled of hard working individuals who have heart. We strive to complete every job safely, on time, within budget and with integrity. We believe in our product and stand by what we do. We try to stay on top of new technology and learn the most effective ways to complete each project. Education is important so we get educated whenever necessary so we have the knowledge along with the skills. We are innovative and have fabricated new tools to improve production. We want everyone involved with our projects to be satisfied with the end result. It is of utmost importance that we build long lasting relationships and we go above expectations to make sure we do.
